Contract: Permanent | Hours: Full time – 37.5 hours per week | Salary: £31,049 – £37,796 per annum | Job ref: 373-CYP1524 | Closing: 23/01/2026 23:59 | Site: The Countess Of Chester Health Park, Chester, Cheshire.
You Will
* Provide specialised support to children with learning disabilities and mental health needs.
* Deliver group training for parents, caregivers, and professionals.
* Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team for person-centred care.
* Receive tailored training to lead parent and professional sessions confidently.
* Conduct assessments: evaluate behaviours of concern for young people (0-18), identify causes, and develop tailored intervention plans.
* Design person-centred interventions: create and implement plans that meet individual needs, improving quality of life.
* Apply Positive Behaviour Support (PBS): use PBS principles to assist families effectively.
* Facilitate training: deliver practical sessions for parents, caregivers, and professionals, with full preparation and support.
* Collaborate with experts: work with Learning Disability Nurses, Clinical Support Workers, Psychologists, and a Psychiatrist to provide holistic care.

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse (Learning Disabilities).
* Mentorship.
* Relevant degree.
* Behaviour/mental health qualification.
Experience
* Experience of working with people with a learning disability.
* Previous Community Nurse experience.
* Experience of working in CAMHS.
* Experience of positive parenting initiatives.
* Experience of working with children with Severe Learning Disabilities and mental health problems and their families/carers.
