Position Overview
The post holder works as part of the Community Paediatric Occupational Therapy Service. They work autonomously with emphasis on multi‑disciplinary working and multi‑agency collaboration under the supervision of a more senior Occupational Therapist.
Key Responsibilities
* Hold own clinical caseload
* Provide clinical supervision and development of more junior staff
* Carry out assessments and treatments and provide advice for children on the caseload in mainstream schools, special schools and other community settings
* Attend multi‑agency meetings and relevant discussions, including EHCP meetings and Tribunals if required
* Work with a more senior Occupational Therapist within designated special schools
Position Details
Title: Paediatric Occupational Therapist (Development Role). Salary grade: B5, with potential upgrade to B6 for candidates with right experience. Expectation to develop to B6 level within 12–24 months.
Flexible working, including part time options.
