The Bulmershe School is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our friendly school office team. This is a term-time-only position offering a good work-life balance. You will be at the heart of our school’s operations, providing essential support to every department, including managing daily correspondence, maintaining the SIMS student information database, supporting school events, staff absence cover, admissions, transition and reception teams. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and a passion for organisation who can handle a wide range of requests. Responsibilities
* Undertake day to day administration duties as directed by the line manager.
* Manage daily correspondence, telephone calls, standard letters, reports; receive, distribute and frank mail.
* Support teaching and learning as directed by the senior leadership team, including communication and record keeping around behaviour management and work experience.
* Be responsible for student information and maintain the SIMS database.
* Support staff absence and emergency cover operations.
* Assist with ordering supplies for the school.
* Support parent communications and open evenings with administrative duties prior to school events.
* Distribute school communications: proofreading emails, sending letters and creating display boards.
* Assist with admissions, transitions and reception activities as required.
Requirements
* Experience in a school environment is desirable.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, varied environment and handle a range of requests.
