Site Engineer – Civil Engineering & Infrastructure Midlands ️ Sectors: Water & Wastewater | Infrastructure | Coastal | Rail | Highways Full-Time | Permanent Our client is a successful and well-respected Civil Engineering Contractor with offices in Redditch and Leeds. Known for delivering technically complex projects from conception through to site completion, the company works across a wide range of sectors, including water infrastructure, wastewater, rail, highways, and coastal protection schemes. Due to sustained project wins, they are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support site operations on major water infrastructure and civil engineering projects. The Role – Site Engineer As Site Engineer, you will play a key part in the on-site delivery of projects, ensuring that technical standards, safety requirements, and programme milestones are achieved. You will support the Site Manager and Project Manager in ensuring works are delivered efficiently and to the required specifications. Key Responsibilities: * Setting out and surveying works using modern GPS and total station equipment. * Interpreting technical drawings and specifications for on-site construction activities. * Coordinating subcontractors and direct labour to ensure works are delivered safely, accurately and efficiently. * Ensuring compliance with site HSEQ procedures and current legislation. * Liaising with design teams, client representatives and internal teams. * Monitoring progress and recording quality control documentation (e.g. ITPs, as-builts, RAMS). * Supporting the delivery of water infrastructure schemes (clean and wastewater) and general civils projects. Requirements: * HNC, HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. * 3 years’ experience in a Site Engineer role on civil engineering projects, ideally involving clean and wastewater infrastructure. * Strong setting out skills using GPS, total station, and AutoCAD. * Previous experience working on Severn Trent or similar water utility frameworks is highly desirable. * Good understanding of health & safety, environmental and quality standards. * Confident communicator and problem solver. * CSCS Card (essential), SMSTS or SSSTS (advantageous). * Full UK Driving Licence (required for multi-site travel).
