We’re currently recruiting for a Highways Consent Lead to join the team based in Brackley. Northamptonshire.
In this role, you will be supporting the Designer in identifying all the highway consents needed as part of the design of the works in our scope. Ensuring the highways consents comply with any relevant U&As, gathering and reporting on information necessary to prove compliance. Managing and monitoring the status of all highways consents through their lifecycle ensuring that correct roles and responsibilities have been allocated to relevant owners and works comply with the consent requirements.
You will be reviewing the content of design submissions and providing feedback based on technical requirements and CGB expectations. Liaising with Highway Authorities, Third Parties and HS2 though the consents process including managing, chairing and keeping records of pre-application on discussions. You will be notifying HS2 of a potential dispute with CGB or a situation where the CGB is acting unreasonably, and which could delay the consenting process.
In addition, you will be making all Highways Consents submissions to the CGBs, including discharge of conditions and recording all responses and approvals. Notifying HS2 of any consent applications which have been refused or witheld and updating all Highways Consents information within smartCONNECT (formerly IOP) including documentation reference, commentary on progress, actual dates and planned forecast dates.
About You
Civil Engineering degree, BSc
Highways experience, including drainage and consents
Experience in leading complex teams/subcontractors/consultants
Experience working in large infrastructure projects
Working knowledge of NEC3 Contracts
CSCS White; White/Yellow; Red - Experienced; Black - Manager or Gold - Supervisor
Driving licence and an access to a vehicle is required for this role
