Occupational Therapists - Ref: SS00426 G9: £42,839 - £46,142 per annum. Walsall Council has new and exciting opportunities within our Complex Occupational Therapy Service. We ’ re looking for experienced, motivated practitioners who are passionate about working with children, young adults, people with learning disabilities and people with mental health needs. As an Occupational Therapist you will work across the complex Occupational therapy team. You will carry out strengths based functional assessments, and identify equipment and environmental solutions, including minor works and disabled facilities grant that promote confidence and safety. You will work closely with care agencies, social work teams, community partners to ensure people receive the right support at the right time. This includes supporting care staff to implement safe and effective strategies, reviewing equipment provision and problem solving to enhance independence and wellbeing. Your practice will be strengths‑based, person‑centred and focused on enabling people to achieve their outcomes in a way that supports independence, dignity and participation. Successful applicants will have: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution. Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist. Clinical experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a community setting. Strong assessment and evaluation skills, with the ability to develop effective treatment plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with individuals and colleagues.
