The opportunity
We’re working with a well-established client to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their finance team in Telford. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working at pace and being involved across multiple areas of finance and business operations.
You’ll support the day-to-day running of finance, ensuring processes are completed accurately and on time while also getting involved in wider administrative and operational tasks.
Key responsibilities as a Financial Accountant
* Processing invoices and receipts
* Managing weekly payment runs and issuing remittance advice
* Updating financial information within the system
* Sales Ledger
* Credit control
* Reporting
* Carrying out daily bank reconciliations
* Processing expenses
* General Ledger tasks
* VAT Reporting
* Budgeting and Forecasting
* Auditing
* Supporting other departments when required
What we’re looking for
* AAT Level 3 minimum, ideally Level 4 qualified
* Previous experience in a finance or accounts-based role
* Experience using Oracle or a similar ERP system would be beneficial
* Good working knowledge of Excel and standard IT systems
* Strong organisation and time management skills
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Able to manage workloads and meet deadlines in a busy environment
* Confident communicator with a proactive approach
