PeopleCert is seeking a Localisation Associate willing to relocate to Athens, Greece.
The role involves managing end-to-end translation of Business and IT products from English into Japanese, including official books, exams, and training materials.
You will oversee translation projects, coordinate with freelancers, LSPs, and SMEs to ensure high-quality deliverables, and handle translation, editing, proofreading, onboarding external partners, and workflow optimization.
Work closely with the Localisation Lead, Enterprise Project Manager, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and serve as the main contact for feedback and issue resolution.
Responsibilities include:
* Managing translation projects within XTM TMS, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
* Implementing AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency and quality.
* Overseeing translation efforts for various content types, maintaining consistency and quality.
* Updating translation memories and preparing files for translation.
* Onboarding and managing external translators and providers, ensuring clear communication and timely delivery.
* Performing quality checks to ensure accuracy and cultural relevance.
* Acting as the communication hub for feedback and issues.
* Handling administrative duties like file management and reporting.
Requirements:
* Native or fluent Japanese and English skills (certifications like LanguageCert C2 LTE or IESOL are a plus).
* Experience in LSP or translation management, especially from English into Japanese; experience in professional education is preferred.
* Background in Translation Studies is a plus.
* Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work with cross-functional teams.
* Proficiency with CAT tools, MT, and TMS (XTM experience advantageous).
* Experience with various file formats and understanding of file engineering for localization; ECDL Advanced desirable.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
* Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
