ROLE PROFILE
Our Client, a leading Law Firm based in Epping, is seeking a reliable and well-organised Legal Secretary to provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to fee earners within a busy and well-established legal practice. This role is integral to the smooth running of the department, requiring a confident communicator with strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and a client-focused approach. It is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys working as part of a collaborative, professional team.
JOB TITLE: Legal Secretary
BUSINESS LINE: Reporting direct to a fee earner and/or a Member as outlined in the Firms structure chart included in the Office Manual
KEY TASKS OF THE ROLE:
* Dealing with clients both personally and on the telephone
* Making appointments for Fee Earner/Partner
* Provide text processing and support function for line Fee Earner/Partner
* Dealing with other professionals, mainly on the telephone
* Making full attendance notes of telephone conversations
* Sorting incoming post and some file management duties
* Dealing with account queries and entries
* General office/secretarial duties that arise

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge and experience is clearly beneficial in the following areas but not essential as the competent, motivated employee will acquire same after time in the role:
* Thorough knowledge of the area of law they are working in to include legal processes, forms and precedents in so far as they impact on the role
* A thorough understanding of the Firm, its systems, procedures and reporting lines as set out in the Office Manual
* A good working knowledge of the SRA Handbook.
