In this role, you will work within the Trust’s Acute Care Division, supporting the clinical specialty triumvirate across all aspects of clinical governance. You will lead the coordination, implementation and delivery of the clinical specialty governance agenda, including Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements and Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOEs). A key focus will be ensuring that risks, controls and assurances are clearly aligned with the wider divisional governance framework. We are seeking an individual with experience in clinical management and the handling of patient safety events, who can lead and support the development of innovative practice, identify opportunities for clinical improvement, and drive consistently high standards of patient care. You will also demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of stakeholders. You will be adept at translating complex governance and safety information into clear, meaningful insights, facilitating open discussion, and supporting a culture of transparency, learning and continuous improvement. You will work closely with the divisional and clinical specialty triumvirates to lead and support clinical governance, patient safety, and quality improvement across the Acute Care Division.
Key Responsibilities
* Overseeing governance and risk management processes

* Incidents and investigations in line with PSIRF principles
* Ensuring compliance with CQC standards and NICE guidance
* The role will also provide expert advice on clinical governance, coordinate divisional governance activities and action plans, support continuous improvement in patient safety and patient experience, and ensure alignment with Trust strategic priorities and quality standards
Qualifications
* NMC Registration/ HCPC Registration
* Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification
Experience
* Extensive experience of successful clinical management and achievement in a complex organisation
* Experience in managing complex patient safety events in line with PSIRFPreparing and implementing governance plans
* Demonstrates ability to develop and utilise effective professional networks
* Leadership and the ability to influence change
Knowledge and awareness
* Knowledge and application of key governance policies and procedures, health and safety, national service frameworks and infection control
* High degree of knowledge and understanding of CQC KLOEs
