The firm is seeking an experienced Construction Disputes Lawyer (Mid-Senior Level) to join its market-respected team in London, working on high-value, technically complex contentious construction matters across the UK and internationally.
You’ll be part of a well-established group that advises on domestic and international arbitration, High Court and TCC litigation, adjudication, and mediation, acting for a diverse client base including developers, contractors, investors, and public authorities.
Key responsibilities
* Advise on dispute avoidance and risk management throughout the lifecycle of major infrastructure and development projects.
* Act in adjudications, arbitrations (ICC, LCIA, DIAC, ADCCAC, QICCA), mediations, expert determinations, and TCC litigation.
* Handle disputes under major contract forms including JCT, NEC, FIDIC, EPC, and bespoke project agreements.
* Support clients with live project issues, payment and delay claims, final account disputes, defects, and regulatory challenges.
* Work alongside specialists in construction, real estate, and planning to provide integrated, commercially focused advice.
* Build trusted relationships with developers, contractors, housing providers, and infrastructure investors, delivering clear, outcome-driven solutions.
What you’ll bring
* Experience in contentious construction or engineering disputes, with exposure to adjudication, arbitration, or High Court proceedings.
* Strong understanding of construction contract mechanisms and project delivery frameworks.
* Excellent analytical and drafting skills, with the ability to simplify complex issues and deliver practical advice.
* Confidence managing matters and contributing to client strategy within a collaborative team environment.
* Commercial awareness and enthusiasm for engaging with clients across both private and public sectors.
