This organisation create mechanical and electrical design engineering solutions for sectors across the built environment including Education, Commercial, Hotel & Leisure and more. In recent years sustainability has been at the core of all their projects, building up a strong track record for environmentally friendly and cost-effective engineering solutions. This business are well-known for their supportive, trusting, social working environment. They are currently seeking an experienced electrical engineer ideally senior but will consider experience engineer or associate level.
Role
* Lead the electrical design for building services projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
* Prepare detailed electrical designs, calculations, specifications, and reports.
* Take ownership of project delivery, ensuring high-quality outputs within agreed timescales and budgets.
* Develop strong client relationships and represent the company at client meetings and presentations.
* Provide support in project management, including resource allocation, risk management, and project reporting.
Qualifications / Experience
* A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards Chartered status.
* Extensive experience in electrical design engineering within the building services sector.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including lighting, power, fire alarms, security, and data systems.
* Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design tools.
* In-depth understanding of UK building regulations, codes of practice, and industry standards.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide innovative solutions to complex design challenges.
* Proven experience in managing projects and client relationships.
* A proactive, self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
