Job title: HR Business Partner - internally titled People & Performance Partner
Location: Peterborough (Hybrid)
Contract: 6 months fixed-term contract / secondment
Package includes: Salary from £40,000, plus benefits supporting wellbeing and reward, including discretionary bonus, car allowance, private healthcare, and up to 10% matched pension contribution.
We are seeking a HR professional for a contract or secondment role to gain valuable experience. The People & Performance Business Partner will join our ABN team, supporting functions like Logistics, Finance, Technical, Quality, and Safety. You will work closely with managers to embed HR best practices, enhance performance, and promote our people agenda.

What You’ll Be Doing:
* Collaborate with leaders to structure and resource teams effectively to meet business goals.
* Utilize HR and employment law knowledge to support decision-making.
* Support organizational change initiatives with compliance and positive outcomes.
* Coach managers in leading teams and HR matters.
* Champion talent development by working with L&D to grow existing and emerging talent.
* Assist with strategic workforce planning and succession strategies.
* Enhance hiring, selection, and onboarding practices in collaboration with recruitment.
* Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and casework.
* Use HR systems for accurate reporting and data integrity.
* Translate HR metrics into insights for business decisions.
What You’ll Bring:
* Experience as a People Partner or HR Business Partner.
* Knowledge of HR best practices and employment law.
* Effective communication skills to persuade, coach, and challenge.
* Ability to work in a multi-functional business environment.
* Data-driven mindset with insight-to-action capability.
