The Core AAI team in T&I is responsible for enabling advanced IAM/AAI services at the European and International level. The team currently delivers services to national and pan-European Research Infrastructures, the European Open Science Cloud, EuroHPC systems, and student mobility programmes (e.g., Erasmus), enabling millions of users to access critical research and educational services and resources.
The Solution Architect role is crucial for the success of the GEANT T&I Programme. Solution Architects will engage with potential and existing customers to design, develop, implement, and deliver AAI solutions. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring project effectiveness, meeting requirements, and adhering to timelines. They will also manage customer calls, prepare agendas, follow up on actions, and foster positive relationships with GÉANT and external partners.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and Develop Tailored IAM Solutions: Collaborate with customers to understand their IAM needs, leveraging the Core AAI Platform to create scalable, secure solutions.
2. Seamless Integration and Configuration: Integrate IAM solutions with existing IT environments, configuring the platform to align with business and security policies.
3. Policy and Compliance Management: Assist in developing and maintaining IAM policies, procedures, and governance frameworks for compliance and best practices.
4. Training and Ongoing Support: Provide training and guidance to customer IT teams to manage and optimize IAM solutions, resolving technical issues.
5. Stakeholder Engagement and Cybersecurity Collaboration: Engage stakeholders, contribute to cybersecurity strategies, deliver industry presentations, and develop user documentation to promote IAM best practices.
6. Additional Responsibilities: Support project success and organizational objectives as needed.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in IAM, with experience in designing, implementing, and integrating solutions using protocols like OpenID Connect, SAML2, and OAuth. They should stay updated on IAM technologies, ensure security and compliance, and possess excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, distributed environment is essential.
Responsibilities:
* Experience in IAM solution design and implementation, including SSO, RBAC, and identity provisioning.
* Deep understanding of IAM protocols, security standards, and compliance requirements, with cybersecurity collaboration experience.
* Ability to integrate IAM with existing systems with minimal disruption.
* Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
* Experience creating training materials and support resources.
* Ability to train and support customer IT teams.
* Familiarity with the AARC Blueprint Architecture and guidelines.
* Knowledge of Python, Java, Ansible, and Terraform.
* Experience with software development processes, source control, and issue tracking.
* Skills in requirement gathering and feedback techniques.
* Knowledge of the GÉANT community and international research initiatives like the European Open Science Cloud, EuroHPC, and Erasmus+.
Working Arrangements:
The role requires presence in the office at least one day per week.
