Sateba UK would like to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to work from their site in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. As Quantity Surveyor you will assist the Head of Commercial by maintaining relationships with our key clients, and oversee the day-to-day management of our key sub-contractor accounts. The ideal candidate will have extensive working knowledge of NEC 3 and 4 Contract and experience working within a construction project environment. Key Responsibilities: Reviewing and processing sub-contract payments. Re-measurement of sub-contract works for sub-contract valuations. Producing quantities / schedules for procurement of sub-contract packages. Preparation and issuing of sub-contract documentation to sub-contractors. Preparation of project interim valuations. Preparation of monthly financial reports. Attending meetings as required. Liaising with site personnel to obtain site records and reconciling against works claimed. Valuation of variations in line with the Contract Conditions. Negotiating variations with Client’s commercial team. Keeping records and all documentation in line with company policies. The ideal candidate will have: Commercial Awareness. Strong business acumen combined with the creativity and vision to meet customer needs and Sateba UK business requirements. Effective Communication skills. Able to adapt communication to audience and create detailed written documents and reports. Able to maintain and manage communication links with a variety of stakeholders. Decision making skills, reflecting best practice and technical/professional theories and standards. Team working. Willing to be involved in other activities to achieve company objectives. Works collaboratively and uses influence to gain resolution of issues. Demonstrates honestly, loyalty and commitment. Knowledge & Experience: Proficient in NEC 3 and 4 understanding and application. Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CIPS) is desirable. Experience in construction, infrastructure, or engineering sectors. Qualifications & Training: Adopts a learning approach in their own work. Remains focused and objective when taking decisions. Capable of engaging/inspiring people.
