What you’ll do on a typical day:
Producing reports and dashboards using Excel (Pivot Tables, Formulas, Data Models)
* Supporting weekly and monthly payroll cycles, including overtime, absence, and holiday records
* Support statutory payments (SMP, SSP, SPP), HMRC forms, and compliance reporting
* Implement and maintain payroll trackers, spreadsheets, and databases for accurate monitoring of pay, attendance, and absence data
* Maintaining accurate payroll data across HRIS and Time & Attendance systems
* Responding to payroll queries and resolving discrepancies
* Auditing and cleansing data to ensure accuracy and GDPR compliance
What you need to succeed at GXO:
Strong administrative experience, ideally in payroll or data-heavy roles
* Advances Excell skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, conditional formatting)
* Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, analytical mindset
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication
* Knowledge of UK Payroll legislation and experience with HRIS or T&A Systems are a bonus!
