Job Title: Deputy Treasurer

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Role Summary
The Deputy Treasurer will lead and evolve the Group's Treasury function, overseeing end‑to‑end treasury operations spanning liquidity management, cash flow forecasting, treasury systems, and the Group's AP and AR activities. This role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on execution, managing a small team while working closely with business units and country finance teams. It is a critical position within a fast‑moving, growth‑oriented organisation, requiring strong partnership with senior leadership, banking partners, and shareholders. The role offers significant exposure to the CFO and investors and sits at the heart of the organisation's financial decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
Treasury Operations
Lead daily cash optimisation activities, including liquidity management, forecasting, and working capital efficiency.
Strengthen and manage banking relationships, ensuring optimal utilisation of banking services; develop and execute a long‑term banking strategy for the Group.
Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks (FX, interest rate, etc.) in line with the Group Treasury Policy.
Monitor compliance with financing covenants and all associated reporting requirements.
Build and maintain robust short‑ and long‑term cash flow forecasts aligned with strategic and operational objectives.
Ensure full adherence to Treasury Policy, internal controls, and governance standards.
Oversee the Group's liquidity management framework across all legal entities and jurisdictions.
Maintain strong cash controls and drive efficient, scalable treasury processes.
Prepare and deliver treasury reporting for senior management, committees, the Board, and auditors.
Lead and oversee the AP & AR teams, ensuring high‑quality, efficient operations.
Team Leadership
Build, mentor, and develop a high‑performing treasury team in partnership with country finance operations.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional qualifications such as ACT, CFA, ACA, or ACCA are preferred.
At least 10 years' experience in corporate treasury, ideally within a complex, multi‑jurisdictional environment.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal capabilities.
Hands‑on leadership style with integrity, sound judgement, and a solutions‑focused mindset; comfortable operating under pressure and navigating ambiguity.
