Overview
Woodlands Inpatient Unit has a rare and exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapy Assistant, to join our supportive team. You will work with the Occupational Therapists and MDT across the Unit and will be supported by the team which is led by the Allied Health Professional Lead for Salford. There are lots of opportunities for continuing professional development, including shadowing, courses, in‑service CPD and Apprenticeship opportunities to apply for. We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting older people to engage in their meaningful occupations and improve their quality of life. You need to be high‑energy, motivated and organised.
This role is not eligible for sponsorship unless you meet the criteria by temporary exemption from current changes to immigration rules put in force on 22/07/2025. Separate provisions are applied to workers who have been sponsored and held continuously a Skilled Worker visa since prior to 04/04/2024.
Responsibilities
* Provide support and assistance to the Occupational Therapy staff in the team.
* Work directly with service users who experience organic and/or functional illness and their carers/family.
* Work under the direction of a registered Occupational Therapist, following delegated therapeutic treatment plans that work towards patients’ goals.
