Job Description
3. Ensure the accurate maintenance of financial records across client property portfolios.
4. Produce financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, providing clients with meaningful financial insights.
5. Assist with year-end audits by ensuring adherence to financial regulations and reporting standards.
6. Prepare, review, and reconcile service charge budgets and actual expenditures to maintain transparency and accuracy.
7. Collaborate closely with property managers to oversee service charge spending and address related inquiries.
8. Ensure service charge payments are collected and allocated in a timely manner.
9. Manage rental income processing, monitor arrears, and support credit control activities to reduce outstanding balances.
10. Accurately reflect lease terms in financial systems, including rent reviews and scheduled escalations.
11. Communicate with tenants and property managers to resolve rent-related matters efficiently.
12. Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and consultants as needed.
13. Ensure all financial activities align with applicable accounting standards, regulations, and client expectations.
14. Maintain precise records to support VAT filings, tax submissions, and audit processes.
The Successful Applicant
15. Previous experience in a client or property accounting role.
16. Strong understanding of property accounting principles.
17. Experience working on service charge reconciliations.
18. Exposure to relevant property accounting systems; MRI, Horizon, QUBE.
19. Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
20. Strong communication skills to liaise with relevant clients.
