Job Title: Kinship Care Advanced Practitioner

Salary: £47,181 to £48,226

Hours: 37 Hours per week

Location: To be agreed (role covers both Westmorland and Cumberland)

Contract: Permanent

About This Opportunity

We are looking to recruit an Advanced Practitioner within the Kinship Care Team. You will support managers, social workers and child support workers in managing complex, high risk work, taking the lead on up to three complex cases at any one time.

As a practice-focused specialist, you'll provide coaching, mentoring and professional guidance across Children's Services, helping to develop reflective, high quality social work aligned to core values and the Professional Capabilities Framework. You'll work closely with team managers to identify and manage risk, promote effective multi agency working, and support continuous improvement in practice.

This role is ideal for someone with strong child protection experience, a commitment to high standards, and the ability to inspire confidence, collaboration and learning across a wide range of professionals.

The role also involves contributing to Preparation Training for Kinship Carers, attendance at Support Groups, participating in our Kinship Events and making applications for therapeutic assessment and support through the Adoption and Special Guardianship Support Fund. You will have opportunity to work closely with practitioners and partners to develop our SGO support service.

This role is available on a permanent basis.

Enhanced DBS check with a Children's Barred List check.
