Alexander Daniels are recruiting a Finance Manager/Senior Accountant to join a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Telford. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive firm offering clear progression opportunities.
The Role
As Finance Manager/Senior Accountant, you will manage your own portfolio of clients and play a key role in reviewing work and supporting junior team members.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing a mixed client portfolio (sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies)
* Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
* Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns
* Assisting clients with VAT returns, bookkeeping, and management accounts
* Reviewing work and mentoring junior staff
* Building strong client relationships and liaising with HMRC
About You
* Minimum 4 years experience within a UK accountancy practice
* Strong technical knowledge of accounts and tax compliance
* Experience managing clients and reviewing work
* Confident communicator with good organisational skills
