Polypipe Civils & Green Urbanisation design, develop and manufacture thermoplastic piping systems for civils and infrastructure projects with the industry’s widest choice of water management, surface water drainage, sewer and cable protection systems. Role: You will work across the CGU business supporting all functions with continuous Improvement and lean focused initiatives, both transactional and operational end to end business activities. The role is responsible for leading CGU Strategy Deployment delivering the key objectives and action plans by supporting the Senior Leadership Team in achieving improved business performance. You will be instrumental in helping the organisation achieve its strategic goals, by application of the Genuit Business System using CI, Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to create more efficient and effective business processes and drive for operational excellence that consistently meets the needs of internal and external customers. You will be central to the design of our continuous improvement deployment strategy aligned to the Genuit Business System. Taking ownership of CI system and tools development, focusing on standardisation, leading training, and strategy deployment. As a Continuous Improvement Lead you will be passionate about clear workable systems & processes. You will strive for standardisation, reduction of variation, positive change and measured improvement. Key Responsibilities: * Delivering improvement projects, using Lean, Six Sigma and other process improvement methodologies, together with appropriate project management and change management techniques. * Identifying potential improvement projects, driving prioritisation based on quantified business value, and securing stakeholder support for project mobilisation. * Identify what “best in class” looks like and strive to deliver a strategy and project implementations that deliver this standard. * Develop and implement plans to improve systems and standards, capacity, efficiency, productivity, operational processes, and drive cost reduction. * Working within cross functional teams, providing process expertise to support delivery of wider strategic change initiatives. * Coaching the team across all departments in continuous improvement techniques/tools and supporting them to cascade this approach to their teams to engage employees and develop a proactive continuous improvement environment. * Develop and deliver training and support leadership teams in embedding Continuous Improvement as part of their ways of working. * Create a structure and road map for the deployment of CI Training within Polypipe CGU. * Put our customer first by delivering a philosophy of continuously seeking and adding value for our customer through delivery of improvements and innovation.
