Overview
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Lift Maintenance Engineer to join our Scotland-based team. The role involves routine servicing, fault diagnosis, and minor repairs of passenger and goods lifts at commercial and residential sites across the central belt of Scotland.
Key Duties
* Perform planned preventative maintenance on various lift systems.
* Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency call-outs, ensuring efficient fault resolution.
* Complete condition reports and provide recommendations for repairs or upgrades.
* Ensure compliance with LOLER regulations and company safety protocols.
* Maintain clear communication with clients and site contacts to ensure effective service delivery.
* Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for urgent lift issues.
* Support junior engineers and contribute to team development.
* Assist repair teams with both minor and major lift repair tasks.
Qualifications & Experience
* NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (or equivalent) – essential.
* Proven experience in lift servicing and maintenance.
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in lift maintenance preferred.
Job Type & Location
* Full-time field-based role requiring travel across the central belt of Scotland.
Salary & Benefits
* Salary: £30,000 to £45,000 per year, dependent on experience.
* Additional call-out allowance and overtime pay.
