This Blackburn-based manufacturer is on the lookout for a skilled Design Engineer to join their expanding team. Specialising in bespoke capital equipment, they proudly design and build machinery here in the UK, supplying customers across the globe. The Role:
You’ll design custom machinery using SolidWorks, with a strong focus on sheet metal components. You’ll play a key role in taking projects from initial concept through to production, collaborating closely with internal teams and customers to ensure smooth delivery.
Your responsibilities as Design Engineer will include:
* Design of bespoke machinery using SolidWorks
* Creating detailed sheet metal and fabrication drawings
* Working with PDM to manage and maintain design data
* Collaborating with customers, sales, and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth project delivery
You’ll need:
* A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Design Engineer
* Strong 3D modelling and detailing skills using SolidWorks
* A proven track record in sheet metal design
* Familiarity with PDM systems
* A practical, hands-on approach with a keen eye for detail
* Experience working in a manufacturing environment
