Position Overview Ithaca Energy is accepting applications for the position of Pipeline Engineer located in our Aberdeen Office. Reporting to the Subsea Engineering Manager, the Pipeline Engineer will support the development of Pipeline Engineering workscopes across the Development Projects within the Company's Portfolio and throughout their lifecycle i.e. from Assess to Execute Phase included. Additionally will support the Subsea Engineering Manager in defining the most suitable subsea development options and contracting strategy to maximize the value of the Projects. Responsibilities Provision of Pipeline engineering support across all Development Projects within the Company's portfolio. Will be involved in: Production of pipeline engineering deliverables from the Assess to the Define Phase Preparation of functional and technical specifications for pipeline deliverables Involved in the technical and commercial evaluation of tenders for pipeline scopes Provision of technical assistance during detail engineering, construction, installation, hook-up and commissioning of the pipeline scopes Day to day management of engineering teams, site supervisors and Pipelay Contractors Management of key interfaces between the Pipelines and adjoining infrastructure Participation in Subsea Lessons Learned activities. Qualifications & Experience Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline Chartered, or working towards Chartered status Proven track record in a similar roles across the subsea sector of oil and gas industry, with particular focus on design, fabrication and installation of pipelines Previous involvement in all phases of Subsea Project lifecycle from Appraise through to Execute Specific competency of subsea pipeline design, including material selection, manufacture (pipe mills coating, welding, etc) and offshore installation (Reel-lay, S-lay, J-lay Bundles, trenching, etc.) Active in promotion of HSEQ through all stages of a Project lifecycle Production operations and maintenance competency preferred Valid offshore survival and medical Knowledge of Logistics Planning. Understanding of: HSEQ: including involvement in HAZOP, HAZID, SIMOPS and and Environmental studies Project management: contracting strategies, program and budget, planning and control, cost estimate, contractor management and risk management Engineering, construction, inspection and expediting, installation and commissioning, QA/QC for offshore developments ITT Preparation: technical, commercial and contractual evaluation.
