SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time

We’re looking for an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a highly regarded special school in South London, catering for pupils aged 7-18 with a wide range of abilities and additional learning needs, including complex needs. Every pupil has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and the school is known for its strong reputation and high number of referrals.
This is a sought-after setting with a family-like working atmosphere, where staff collaborate closely and support each other. The school offers weekly staff training sessions, which agency staff are encouraged to attend, ensuring continuous professional development.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am – 4:00pm
Location: South London

About the School:
* Predominantly caters for pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
* Includes 8-9 classes with around 6 pupils each, some of whom are non-verbal or have complex needs.

We welcome applications from:
* Experienced SEN Teaching Assistants.
* Individuals with previous experience supporting children with SEN or SEMH needs.
* Those confident in behaviour management and implementing tailored learning strategies.
Your role will include:
* Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with diverse needs.
* Assisting teachers in delivering tailored lessons and interventions.
* Helping create a safe, structured, and inspiring learning environment.
* Encouraging independence, confidence, and progress in every child.
* Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families to support holistic development.
Requirements:
* Previous SEN experience (school or similar setting).
* A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply through us).
* Two employment references covering the last 24 months.
