We are looking for someone to join our busy and exciting events department. We want someone with some experience in the events business who now wants to be given the opportunity to take on more events processes. The package comes with a competitive starting salary, performance-related bonuses and a review after six months. The role will include overseas travel.
Cravenhill Publishing is a publishing and events business. We publish two magazines and organise conferences and awards events around the world. Our two magazines are Communicate (focusing on corporate communications) and Transform (covering brand strategy and design) and we create, develop and deliver a portfolio of conferences and awards events targeted towards their respective markets. We are looking for a team player, with a can-do attitude. You should be able to work well under pressure and want to play an integral role in delivering high-quality events. Our events overlap, so you will be working on multiple events at one time, and you will be dealing with multiple clients and stakeholders of various levels.
Your role
The main function of the events executive role will be to provide strong logistical and administrative support across our extensive awards portfolio and conference programmes. Reporting to Cravenhill Publishing’s head of events, the role of the events executive will provide pre-event, on-the-day and post-event support.
Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
* Being a contact for key event stakeholders to provide advice and support
* Playing a critical role in establishing and maintaining our reputation externally
* Providing administrative support during the events planning cycle, including (but not limited to) general events assistance, database management, assisting the production of event collateral and liaising with speakers, sponsors and delegates
* Creating key events assets, such as awards script and presentations
* Leading on sales strategy for the events, assisting with sales that come through our booking channels and actively seeking revenue for our events
* And assisting the head of events with running events on-site, as well as running several events on-site without the head of events
This is a very busy role in the lead up to an event so will require a calm head under pressure and flexibility regarding work hours.

This job is based in Clapham Junction, London, working two days a week from home and three days in the office. Should your application be successful, you will be required to attend an in-person interview in London.
