Computer Science Teacher – Secondary School (Southampton)

Prospero Teaching is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Computer Science Teacher to support the learning of pupils in one of our forward-thinking Secondary Schools in Southampton on a full-time, long-term basis. About the Role:
1. Plan and deliver engaging, informative lessons that spark curiosity and promote digital literacy
2. Stretch and challenge learners of all abilities, fostering computational thinking and problem-solving skills
3. Build strong relationships with pupils and support staff to create a collaborative learning environment
4. Manage classroom behaviour in a consistent, positive manner
5. Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and EAL pupils
6. Use varied assessment methods to monitor progress and inform future planning
7. Display high levels of enthusiasm, energy, and professionalism in the classroom
8. Work effectively with Teaching Assistants and colleagues to ensure students receive the best possible educational experience

Pay, Hours and Contract:
12. Pay: £145-£200 per day (depending on experience)
13. Hours: 08:30-16:00
14. Contract: Full-time, Ongoing

Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:
17. QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
18. Experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level in the UK
19. Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
20. Experience in planning, delivering, and assessing lessons
21. Ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with students and staff
22. A genuine passion for technology and education
23. Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service preferred, but not essential)
