Senior Quantity Surveyor – Birmingham Due to continued success and growth, our client are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their established civil engineering team. Specialising in formwork, reinforcement, and concrete (FRC), they are a respected contractor delivering major and complex infrastructure projects, primarily across the Midlands. The Role As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial success of our projects. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing, assessing, and negotiating contract documentation, valuations, and variations Developing detailed cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts Managing subcontractor procurement and commercial negotiations Liaising with site teams and procurement to ensure cost-effective delivery Monitoring project progress and financial performance Identifying and mitigating commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle Handling claims management, dispute resolution, and final account settlements Mentoring and supporting junior team members Senior Quantity Surveyor Requirements To be considered for interview, applicants must have: BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in the civil engineering sector, ideally on large infrastructure projects.
