About the Role
Are you a passionate, experienced Social Worker ready to lead, develop, and support a team of enthusiastic Social Workers within our Mental Health team? Join us at Westmorland and Furness Council to make a difference in adult social care, empowering individuals to achieve a good quality of life.
As a Lead Social Worker, you will work closely with Team Managers to support team planning, performance, and a positive, strengths-based culture. You will manage a small caseload, conducting assessments and delivering person-centered support that promotes independence and maximizes individual strengths.
Candidate Profile
We seek motivated individuals who share our passion for Adult Social Care and possess:
* An accredited Social Work Degree or equivalent qualification
* In-depth knowledge of adult social care issues
* Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, management, and communication skills
* The ability to create innovative, strengths-based solutions and challenge inappropriate practices
