Job Description:
This role involves leading the UK Defence, Intelligence, and Aerospace sales team for Splunk, reporting to the AVP for Public Sector UK&I. The candidate will manage a team of Regional Sales Managers, develop strategic plans, achieve revenue targets, negotiate business terms, and collaborate with internal resources and partners. The role requires direct involvement in account planning and strategy, team hiring and management, and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of 5 Regional Sales Managers and coordinate with support teams including presales, customer success, services, enablement, renewals, and partners.
* Develop and execute a strategic plan for Defence, Intelligence, and Aerospace markets.
* Meet or exceed license, support, and service revenue targets.
* Negotiate profitable deals by emphasizing value and ROI.
* Utilize sales engineering and partner resources effectively.
* Be actively involved in account planning, strategy, and sales calls.
* Hire, lead, and develop the sales team to meet growth objectives.
* Implement and adhere to sales methodologies and processes.
* Balance new customer acquisition with growth of existing accounts and strategic opportunities.
* Provide feedback to product management and other corporate functions.
Requirements:
* Experience selling within the UK Defence, Intelligence, and Aerospace sectors.
* Proven success in leading and building enterprise software sales teams for 5+ years.
* Partner-centric sales approach and scalable business development.
* Growth mindset and adaptability.
* Strong executive presence and experience engaging with C-Suite executives.
* Experience closing multi-million dollar software license deals, including complex negotiations.
* Experience selling SaaS solutions.
* Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
* Skill in orchestrating resources across a matrix organization.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
