About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated Practitioner Psychologist to join our team in Newbury during an exciting period of growth. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the development of a clinical service that focuses on neurodiversity and intersectionality affirming therapeutic support. In this varied role, you'll have the opportunity to have a real impact on the development of the service. As part of the Clinical Wellbeing team, you will be responsible for delivering bespoke assessment and intervention plans for young people, working collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to provide comprehensive, holistic care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver bespoke psychological assessments and interventions for individuals within a therapeutic setting, with a focus on neurodiversity and intersectionality.
* Manage a caseload of young people, ensuring tailored therapeutic support that promotes positive outcomes.
* Work closely with the Lead Clinician and other professionals to develop and expand the clinical provision.
* Contribute to staff training, consultation, and reflective practice, ensuring the team delivers high-quality care.
* Be an active part of the multi-disciplinary team, providing support and guidance to staff on therapeutic approaches.
* Develop and implement individual care plans for children and young people in line with their needs and goals.
* Work collaboratively to drive change and improve services through evidence-based practice and reflection.
* Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards at all times, ensuring that young people’s safety and wellbeing are prioritized.
Who We’re Looking For:
* You will need to have a strong therapeutic approach and be committed to delivering high-quality care to vulnerable young people.
* You should have experience in delivering psychological assessments and therapies within a child and adolescent setting, ideally working with young people who face complex needs.
* Experience of working with young people with neurodiversity and intersectionality would be an advantage.
* The ability to manage your own workload and make decisions in a fast-paced environment is essential.
* The role requires a resilient, enthusiastic individual who is proactive and able to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
Qualifications:
* Relevant qualification in Psychology (e.g., MSc in Clinical Psychology, DPsych, or equivalent).
* HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
* Experience of working with children and/or young people, ideally with neurodiverse needs and complex conditions.
* A full UK driving licence and access to a car.
