We have a vacancy for a clinical support worker role within the surgical team.
The role demands an dynamic individual who has the ability to work well within a team,
The successful candidate will be required to provide essential activities of daily living care to our pre and post operative patients.
You will have the ability to communicate effectively and to work in line with the trust policies and procedures.
Main duties of the job
The role of clinical support worker is a crucial part of the nursing team.
The ward compromises of pre and post operative patients who requires a level of support with their hygiene needs, mobility, but with the scope to empower self care and promote independence and area for health promotion.
You will support in the general infection prevention measure in team including decluttering and cleaning the ward environment.
Assistance for patients who require mobility support and effective meal service.
Requirement to have good communication skills to allow professional interactions with the patients, their families and the nursing staff.

Person Specification
Skills
* Evidence of good numeracy and literacy
* Care Certificate (This is mandatory to undertake in the first 12 weeks of employment commencing)
* Ability to cover a variety of shifts over 7 days a week including weekends and bank holidays
