Murphy is recruiting for a Technician to work with Murphy Applied Engineering on SSE ASTI Framework.
Our engineering teams represent a multi-disciplined range of skills, adding value across sectors, and pushing the boundaries of digital construction, engineering innovation, and design to deliver sustainable, intelligent, and economical solutions.
Under Murphy Applied Engineering, our in-house teams include civil, structural, mechanical, geotechnical, and process engineers. They design both permanent and temporary works for projects in all locations and serve as a trusted source of expert advice for Murphy colleagues and external clients.
A day in the life of a Murphy Technician
* Preparation of project design drawings, including site mechanical/civil GAs, traffic management, vehicle swept path analysis, route plans, etc.
* Preparation of project as-built drawings.
* Participate in roles within a BEP and work according to BS EN ISO 19650 standards.
* Formulate deliverable packages and coordinate with document control teams.
* Interrogate and prepare concept/design pipework and civil 3D models.
* Assist with project tender packages as required.
* Coordinate with internal and external teams, design teams, and project teams.
* Liaise with colleagues and departments regarding drawing requirements.
* Prepare drawings following current CAD standards.
* Ensure proper storage, issuance, and archiving of drawings per company procedures using CAD Data Management software.
* Work effectively within strict deadlines and project budgets.
* Maintain timesheet records to evaluate chargeable work.
