Job Description
* Managing the monthly payroll process end-to-end - accurate, reconciled, and always on time
* Overseeing starters, leavers, timesheets, absences, and employee record updates
* Handling statutory and non-statutory deductions (PAYE, NI, pensions, SAYE, Salary Finance, benefits)
* Acting as the go-to person for payroll queries and escalations
* Supporting and coaching your team, while working with HR/Finance to improve processes
* Ensuring compliance with HMRC, pensions auto-enrolment, and statutory reporting requirements
The Successful Applicant
* CIPP qualified (or working towards) or equivalent payroll experience
* Background in managing or supervising payroll teams
* Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation (PAYE, NI, SSP, SMP, salary sacrifice, benefits in kind)
* Experience with large, complex payrolls
* Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and experience with integrated HR/Payroll/Finance systems
* Confident communicator with a collaborative, problem-solving approach
