A Major Tier 1 Manufacturer in the Automotive sector are looking for an Automation and Reliability Engineer to join the team on a double days shift at their impressive site in the Telford area
The ideal candidate will be a hard:working and adaptable Engineer with a strong technical background within a fast:paced manufacturing environment. Operating in an Automotive Tier 1 environment and reporting into the Manufacturing Maintenance Manager, you will have strong continuous improvement and RCM abilities

The key responsibilities of the Automation and Reliability Engineer role will be:
: Lead the implementation of condition:based monitoring systems to proactively predict and prevent equipment failures, improving asset reliability and overall performance.
: Drive root cause analysis initiatives to uncover underlying issues and deliver effective, long:term solutions that minimize downtime and boost productivity.
: Promote the adoption of automation technologies to modernize maintenance practices, supporting the company's vision of a highly automated operation.
: Develop and manage a comprehensive reliability program incorporating advanced data analytics, control systems, and condition:based monitoring to anticipate maintenance requirements and enhance operational efficiency.
: Work collaboratively with cross:functional teams to design and implement control systems that improve process performance and safety standards.
: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across maintenance and engineering functions.
: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor system health and drive improvements in MTTR and MTBF.
: Create, document, and standardize best practices in maintenance and reliability to ensure consistency and effective knowledge sharing across the organization.
: Deliver training and guidance to maintenance teams on new technologies and methodologies, strengthening overall departmental capability.
: Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives within Manufacturing Engineering, leveraging emerging technologies to solve complex technical challenges.
The key requirements of the Facilities Maintenance Engineer will be:
: Extensive experience in advanced root cause analysis and condition:based monitoring techniques, with a track record of improving equipment reliability.
: Proven ability to lead automation and control system projects within a manufacturing environment, delivering measurable performance improvements.
: Strong foundation in mechanical or electrical engineering, with a particular focus on reliability and maintenance strategies.
: Skilled in the use of CMMS and other maintenance management systems to enhance operational efficiency and support data:driven decision:making.
: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences and guide cross:functional teams.
: Dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
