Assistant Management Accountant Location: Wolverhampton Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Our client, a growing and well-established organisation, is seeking an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified accountant or experienced accounts professional looking to take the next step in their career.
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting the month-end process, preparing management reports, and providing financial insights to aid decision-making. Duties will include:
Assisting with preparation of monthly management accounts
Balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process
Assisting with year-end audit requirements
Preparing journals, accruals, and prepayments
Providing financial support to operational teams
Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required
Skills & Requirements:
Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or working towards a recognised accounting qualification
Previous experience in a management accounts or similar finance role
Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting systems (e. SAP, Oracle, Sage, or similar)
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Ability to work to deadlines and communicate effectively across departments
