You will be responsible for leading the overnight operations and drive performance across the equipment control and warehouse departments. This is a critical leadership role focused on delivering operational excellence, eliminating shortages, maintaining strict stock accuracy, and ensuring equipment flows efficiently through the business overnight. You will act as the key link between teams, ensuring clear communication, strong pace of work, and consistent execution of company standards. As the Night Shift Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for: You will take full ownership of night shift performance, ensuring workloads are completed accurately and on time while preparing clear priorities for the following day. A major focus of the role is driving zero shortages, improving scan accuracy, enforcing returns and double-scanning procedures, and ensuring urgent equipment, repairs, shortages, and new stock is identified and moved without delay. You will proactively resolve issues, remove bottlenecks, and ensure shelves and departments are fully prepared for the early shift. Health & Safety leadership is central to this position. You will lead by example in promoting a strong safety culture, carry out regular H&S walk-rounds, and ensure full compliance with manual handling, storage, and mechanical handling standards. You will lead Supervisors, Operatives, agency staff, and trainees. You will manage staffing levels, conduct return-to-work interviews, oversee absence and holiday processes, deliver regular 1-2-1s, and drive performance through clear feedback, development plans, and competency reviews. You will also lead investigations where required and deliver weekly toolbox talks to maintain high operational and safety standards. You will ensure returns areas are controlled, equipment tracking is accurate, stock anomalies are investigated, and quality control standards are upheld across all equipment prepared for dispatch. Required Experience and Skills Previous experience as a Manager/Supervisor in a fast paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong first-line management capability, with proven experience in personnel management, conflict resolution, effective communication, and supporting the training and development of teams. You will be IT literate, with a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and confidence using Warehouse/Inventory Management Systems. You will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt within a fast-paced, high-expectation environment while maintaining exceptional service and quality standards. A proactive mindset, strong organisational skills, and a focus on continual improvement are essential. Flexibility to work overtime and occasional weekends in line with business requirements is also required.
