Overall Purpose of Role
The role is to manage the transport administration by supporting the operation with all sub-contractor queries to ensure that the DX Service Centres are supported to deliver a service in line with Customer Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators.
Main Responsibilities
1. Ensure all trunk vehicles from SC’s to the central hubs and back to the SC’s are available.
2. Ensure all details of of any driver change / agency drivers are published to the operations team via the daily trunk update document.
3. Take responsibility of organising additional vehicles as required.
4. To maintain contractor files ensuring all compliance documentation is current.
5. Manage cost by identifying areas of efficiency in the trunking network.
6. Encourage and promote positive employee relations throughout the Operation encouraging a “Can Do” attitude
7. Provide administrative assistance to aid the night operation
8. Complete all reports accurately.
9. Ensure all reports are kept to the strict timelines.
10. Administrative tasks during the Day
11. Provide good quality pro-active information for the night and day shift so reporting is of a high standard and all sub-contractors are paid as per SLA.
12. Communicate with all SC’s to ensure the Hub is providing high quality service to them and they are conforming to company and customer SLA’s each morning.
13. Capture information to supply back and aid with revenue capture/protection
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
14. Previous experience in transport preferred
15. Previous experience in the Mail or Distribution industry
16. Understanding of DX Products is preferred but not essential
17. Ability to work on own initiative.
18. Ideas driven and ability to formulate new methods to improve the operation
19. Able to communicate well with people
20. Able to produce reports in a concise manner
21. Knowledge of the UK transport/road network preferred
22. Good monitoring skills.
23. Ability to collate information to forward plan events on the road
24. Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook
