BIM MANAGER - BIRMINGHAM (Hybrid)

Our client is a leading global, multi-disciplined consultancy with an excellent reputation for their capability and innovative solutions for challenging projects. They work on local, national, and international projects, from redevelopment schemes to large-scale programs within complex or regulated environments.
As their project pipeline grows, they seek a BIM Manager to join their design management team. The role requires leadership in BIM and Information Management, engaging and driving learning and delivery across multidisciplinary teams.
About the Role
1. Serve as BIM Manager across projects covering the entire lifecycle (RIBA 0-7).
2. Lead VDC offerings: clash detection, automated rule-based checking, visualization (rendering, VR, AR), construction sequencing, and costing (4D & 5D BIM).
3. Create and maintain the project’s BIM/Digital Execution Plan per client requirements.
4. Support CDE configuration and maintenance, ensuring reliable information exchange.
5. Establish and manage the project's BIM Collaboration Platform.
6. Implement digital technologies and methodologies for project delivery innovation.
7. Plan and lead project kick-offs and workshops for BIM implementation.
8. Provide BIM support across multidisciplinary teams and business units.
9. Capture lessons learned and improve workflows.
10. Assist the Digital Lead in process improvements.
11. Participate in BIM working groups to develop digital workflows.
12. Advise on emerging technologies to enhance delivery processes.
13. Contribute to digital initiatives, including data and AI development.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Experience with 3D modeling tools (Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, Infraworks, Tekla).
* Practical experience with 4D/5D models.
* Knowledge of UK BIM Framework & BS EN ISO 19650.
* Experience in an AEC environment, managing project workflows and contractual obligations.
* Ability to develop and implement BIM/Digital Execution Plans and standards.
* Experience managing client information requirements and multidisciplinary integration.
* Proficiency with CDE process tools (Autodesk Construction Cloud, Viewpoint, Asite, Morta).
Desirable:
* Programming or application development skills.
* Experience with VR/AR applications and GIS integration.
* Knowledge of facilities management software.
* Experience with 4D sequencing tools like Synchro Pro, Civil 3D, Bentley ProjectWse, Aconex.
