Contract Manager (Grounds)
Our client is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee Grounds activities for one of our largest Social Housing clients in the London and Home Counties area.
You will be a natural leader, capable of guiding a delivery team to align with the company's strategy to maximize profit and contract retention.
Responsibilities include motivating, managing, and training staff to meet and exceed client expectations, as well as building effective relationships within the business.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain effective client relationships, ensuring service standards meet contract specifications and opportunities for retention are maximized.
* Lead and maintain an operational team, ensuring compliance with KPIs, reviewing contract activities regularly, and promoting innovation and best practices.
* Manage procurement and maintenance of equipment/machinery, ensuring all testing is up to date.
* Handle client communications and implement preventative and remedial actions as needed.
* Achieve full contract Profit & Loss (P&L) targets within budgets and identify opportunities for growth.
* Participate in client review meetings to present and discuss contract performance.
* Support recruitment and onboarding of team members in collaboration with other departments.
* Assist the bid team with RFI’s/RFP’s and attend client presentations as required.
* Support the Operations Director with reports, costs, proposals, and mobilizations.
* Ensure adherence to JAES, QSHE, Risk, and Business Continuity protocols.
What are we looking for?
* At least 5 years’ experience in a client delivery role in Grounds/Garden Maintenance.
* A proven track record in customer satisfaction, team management, budgeting, compliance, and safety.
* Knowledge of management techniques, change management, and performance review processes.
* Team player, collaborative, a natural leader, and loyal.
* Strong commercial acumen, motivational skills, diplomatic yet firm.
* Excellent communication skills, organized, motivated, and able to work under pressure.
