Junior Manufacturing Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a Junior Manufacturing Engineer to join a growing and well-established engineering and manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody at the early stages of their engineering career who is looking to develop within a structured manufacturing environment.
The role would suit either a recent engineering graduate or somebody who has recently completed an apprenticeship and already gained some exposure within a manufacturing environment. The business is looking for somebody hands-on, motivated, and eager to develop their knowledge across manufacturing processes, production support, and engineering operations.
The Role:
Working closely with manufacturing and production teams, you will support a variety of engineering and administrative functions to help ensure smooth day-to-day operations across the manufacturing process. You will gain exposure to production documentation, engineering specifications, route cards, production tracking, and first article inspection processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Support general engineering and production administration activities
Print route cards and create production packs including drawings and documentation
Generate and maintain basic route cards
Access and review engineering specifications
Create manufacturing documents and work instructions
Balloon engineering drawings to support first article inspection processes
Maintain customer order books and provide updates to clients
Work closely with production teams to support job tracking and problem solving
Assist with manufacturing process improvement and day-to-day operational support
What We're Looking For:
Engineering graduate or recently completed apprenticeship
Minimum 12 months experience within a manufacturing environment
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
Understanding of BOMs and manufacturing processes from raw material through to finished part
Awareness of supply chain and production processes
Strong communication and organisational skills
Proactive and problem-solving mindset
Committed to working safely and maintaining 5S standards
