Level 2 Teaching Assistant - Specialist SEN School (Full-Time, Long-Term)
Location: Kettering Area
Start Date: ASAP or January 2026
Contract: Long-term, with potential for permanent placement
Pay: £90 - £110 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

Tradewind Recruitment is currently supporting a welcoming specialist SEN school in the Kettering area, seeking a dedicated TA to join their supportive and collaborative team.
About the Role:
As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with a range of special educational needs, helping them to access learning and achieve their potential. You'll work closely with class teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance, adapt learning materials, and promote positive behaviour and inclusion across the school day.
Responsibilities:
Support students with a range of additional needs, including learning difficulties, communication challenges, and social/emotional needs.
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
Provide 1:1 or small-group support where required.
Foster a positive, caring, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
A Level 2 (or above) Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Tradewind.
