Job Purpose:
To act as a point of contact for both customers (Local Authorities/Contractors) and sub-contract fitting companies, in preparing documents for quotations.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Prepare cost budgets and cost estimates for new tenders/quotes for Refurbishment and Newbuild.
2. Use the in-house database to prepare detailed proposals for each client, adhering to client guidelines while offering competitive and comprehensive cost estimates.
3. Input sizes from surveys and client drawings for windows and doors.
4. Work with internal teams on tendered/quoted projects.
5. Keep detailed reports on all estimation documentation, including correspondence from clients and emails; update revised tenders/quotations immediately upon receipt of new documentation.
6. Work closely with colleagues in order processing and contracts to ensure specifications are checked and agreed.
7. Update enquiry logs and prepare new files as needed.
8. Raise Pricing Notes once a contract has been awarded.
9. Carry out various tasks/projects as directed by the Estimating Supervisor.
Key Experiences:
1. Experience in a similar role or administrative experience is preferable.
2. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and confident use of email.
3. Able to accurately input data.
4. Ability to communicate at all levels with good negotiating skills; confident using the telephone.
Desirable Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
1. Must be numerate with the ability to produce spreadsheets.
2. Able to analyze available information and provide recommendations or solutions to resolve issues.
3. Able to plan and prioritize own workload to meet deadlines; organize received information for efficient and accurate responses.
4. General knowledge of the replacement window industry is useful but not essential.
