HGV Class 1 Driver – Alfreton, Derbyshire People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Alfreton, Derbyshire.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver .
Shifts • Monday to Friday (Weekend work available) • Various shifts available – earlies, late, and nights to suit Rates of Pay • £15.90 per hour (inclusive of bonus) • Shift premiums ranging from £18.48 to £23.10 per hour Benefits • Excellent rates of pay • Overtime available • Temp to perm opportunity for suitable candidates • Training & development opportunities • Free on-site parking • Access to Employee Assistance Programme • Employee recognition scheme • Employee referral programme • Permanent positions available for suitable candidates • Driver of the Month prizes • Driver bonus scheme • 20 days annual leave, increasing annually up to 28 days, plus 8 bank holidays (once permanent) • One paid volunteer day per year • Health Shield cashback plan – up to £1,000 per year • Employee discount hub (retail, gyms, leisure) • Cycle to Work scheme Day to Day Duties • HGV Class 1 general haulage deliveries (palletised goods) • Operating Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently • Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections • Flexible working options including nights out and tramping • Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly • Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations • Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers • Assisting with loading and unloading when required (curtain side and back loader vehicles) Essential Skills • Valid Class 1 HGV Licence • Minimum 1 year Class 1 HGV driving experience • Valid UK CPC and Digital Tachograph Card • Maximum of 6 penalty points (no major endorsements) • Professional and reliable approach • Excellent communication skills • Good spoken and written English • Strong punctuality and timekeeping • Good understanding of UK road traffic laws Desirable Experience • Previous commercial driving experience (minimum 1 year) Training Provided • Driver assessment prior to starting • Ongoing industry-related training and support Apply: If you are ready to take on this opportunity as a HGV Class 1 Driver, please apply today or contact our recruitment team for more information. xxuwjjq
