Consultant Dermatologist – 18 Week Support
Join us as a Consultant Dermatologist supporting NHS trusts with weekend and weekday service provision, including outpatient clinics, minor procedures, and skin lists across South West England (Southampton, Dorset). The role is a locum contract, part‑time, flexible, with a 10‑hour weekend shift (8:00‑18:00) and requires a limited‑company salary of £2 000 per day.
Key responsibilities
* Deliver dermatology outpatient clinic appointments and minor operative procedures.
* Manage waiting‑list initiatives, aiming for 30 patients per clinic session and 14–16 patients per minor operative session.
* Record clinic letters and review results taking dictation and other necessary documentation.
* Work with a link nurse for induction into the NHS system.
* Attend scheduled weekend sessions, with training and orientation provided.
* Maintain professional development and participate in the 18 Week Support L&D resources.
Qualifications & experience
* Registered consultant level in dermatology (minimum 2 years experience within the NHS).
* Current GMC specialist registration.
* Right to work in the UK and current UK professional registration.
* Disclosures: Disclosure and Barring Service check, Rehabilitation of Offenders Act compliance.
Work pattern & location
Part‑time, flexible working. Saturday and Sunday weekend shifts (10 hour clock‑in from 8:00 am to 18:00 pm). The base location is the 18 Week Support office in London (51 Eastcheap, EC3M 1DT), with clinical sites in South West England.
Salary and contract
£2 000 per day, paid into a limited company. 3‑month contract with a view to extension, locum, and part‑time flexible working pattern.
