The Role:
This is an excellent opportunity for a carpenter— you don’t need teaching experience! If you’re qualified to at least Level 4 in Carpentry and Joinery and have solid, hands-on industry experience in the trade, the college will support you with full teacher training.
You’ll:
Deliver practical and classroom-based sessions to Carpentry and Joinery students studying up to level 3
Share your expertise and passion for the trades, helping students develop technical skills and workplace readiness
Work within a supportive team that values your industry knowledge You will need:
Level 3 qualification (minimum) in Carpentry and Joinery
Substantial industry experience in site carpentry
Commitment to training and developing young people for the future workforce
No teaching experience needed — just a willingness to learn and share your expertise

Salary of £33,487–£39,941 per annum
You could also be eligible for a £6,000 tax-free payment available for new teachers in technical subjects
