Our client:

* Well-renowned, growing supplier of non-food products in the DIY industry
* Products span across Tools, Flooring and Accessories with a number of strong brands
* Business supply a number of key retail channels including DIY retail, grocery, high street, online, buying groups and trade customers
* Culturally it’s a supportive, inclusive business with strong values and ambitious growth plans
* Great opportunity to join the sales team managing a range of trade accounts across DIY, Buying Groups and Trade retailers


The role:

* Responsible for managing and developing a number of existing and new customers within the Trade area of the business
* This will be approximately 70% new business and 30% existing account management
* Example customers/target accounts likely to include Travis Perkins, Toolstation, Howdens, Selco, Wren Kitchens, Headlam Group and builders merchants
* Products are DIY led with a strong heritage and reliability levels across the industry
* Work closely with UK Head of National Accounts and Sales Director to develop a strategy and help deliver on company targets
* Need to work in a collaborative manner with all customers, develop and nurture long-term relationships
* Be entrepreneurial, a self-starter and able to manage your own workload effectively


Ideal candidate:

* Experience of selling into similar DIY trade customers as those listed above would be highly beneficial such as trade retailers, buying groups or builders merchants for example
* Ideally you will have recent experience operating in the DIY industry or a closely related product category
* The role offers a mix of new business development and account management so must be comfortable with this
* Be highly personable, a strong relationships builder and want to be part of a growing business with ambitious plans
* Want to join a progressive, forward thinking organization
* Be Midlands based – role offers a mix of office, home-working and out with customers weekly


Benefits & details:

* Up to £55,000 basic salary
* Company Car or allowance, Up to 20% bonus, Wider company benefits
* Hybrid role – 1-2 days per week in Midlands head office
