Duties
* Safely operate a delivery vehicle, adhering to traffic laws, company protocols, and safety regulations.
* Load and unload goods with care, ensuring they are securely transported.
* Perform regular vehicle inspections to maintain safety and ensure vehicle compliance.
* Plan delivery routes thoughtfully to optimise time, fuel consumption, and minimize stress.
* Keep accurate records of deliveries, including customer signatures and delivery notes.
* Communicate clearly and effectively with warehouse staff, customers, and fellow team members to coordinate schedules, address any delays, and manage deliveries.
* Be a professional point of contact for customer inquiries, providing friendly, helpful, and timely service.
* Collaborate with the team, offering support when needed, and fostering a positive, solution-oriented work atmosphere.
Skills
* Previous experience as a delivery driver is beneficial, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key.
* Ability to lift heavy items when necessary during loading and unloading.
* Strong communication skills, both with customers and your team, ensuring smooth operations.
* Valid driving license for commercial driving.
* A proactive and problem-solving mindset to manage challenges and optimize logistics.
* A strong sense of team spirit, with a desire to contribute to a supportive and positive work culture.
