Some children dont need stricter rules. They dont need louder voices. They dont need another reminder about targets.
They need someone who sees them.
Were looking for an English Intervention Teacher who understands that before progress comes trust and before trust comes connection.
This role is based in multiple specialist learning hubs around the Mansfield area. These are calm, small-group environments designed for students who have struggled in mainstream settings. Many have disengaged from education. Some have gaps in learning. Others are carrying barriers that make focusing on English the least of their worries.
Your first job wont be delivering content. It will be building relationships.
Youll work 1:1 or with small groups of 48 students, giving you the time and space to:
Get to know them properly
Understand whats behind the behavior
Rebuild confidence step by step
Make learning feel safe again
When a student who hasnt engaged for months starts contributing When they trust you enough to try When they begin to believe theyre not bad at English after all
Thats the impact of this role.
Whats on offer:
£200 per day
Long-term, full-time position (were prepared to wait for the right person)
8:30am 4:30pm working hours
Specialist hub settings not large mainstream classrooms
A supportive, child-focused team who value nurture over numbers
Who this role suits:
A qualified teacher (QTS or PGCE)
Someone with KS3 experience (Primary teachers confident teaching KS3 are very welcome)
A calm, patient and emotionally intelligent practitioner
Someone who understands that behavior is communication
A teacher who values connection as much as curriculum
If your strength is building trust, creating safe spaces, and helping young people feel understood this is where youll thrive.
If you want quick results without investing in relationships first, this probably isnt the right fit.
But if you believe the best teaching starts with genuine human connection and you want the time and space to do that properly wed love to introduce you to the team.
Come and see the hubs. Meet the people. And teach in a way that truly changes lives.
